Astronaut Winston E. Scott is lifted by crane into the neutral-buoyancy diving pool. During his NASA career, he logged a total of 24 days, 14 hours, and 34 minutes in space, including three spacewalks totalling 19 hours and 26 minutes. He was also an experienced naval pilot.
