Newly-completed Baildon Housing estate. Bradford Urban Regeneration Company commissioned architect Will Alsop to create a vision for a new city centre for the 21st century. The audacious and controversial masterplan envisaged four regenerated quarters in the heart of the city – The Bowl, The Channel, The Market and The Valley. Some of these developments are currently under construction but the economic downturn has thrown the project’s future into some doubt.
